Hi, I'm Katie!

I HAD A VISION TO CREATE A THRIVING ORGANIZATION THAT COULD BE AS NURTURING TO THE CLINICIANS AND STAFF AS IT IS TO THE CLIENTS WE SERVE.

For over 15 years, I have worked in social services organizations. providing direct support to clients and other professionals. I have witnessed and experienced burnout first-hand. In our practice, we are committed to promoting a culture of care for ourselves, our clients, and our community to have a sustained impact of healing long-term.

We are a female- and queer-owned business focusing on service, social justice, equity, and self-care.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Our organization headquarters is in current-day Bloomington, Indiana, which is primarily the land of:

Myaamia
Kaskaskia
Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo)
Shawandasse Tula (Shawanwaki/Shawnee)

We honor all of the Indigenous nations and their land with great gratitude and acknowledge the genocide and continuous displacement of Indigenous peoples. We also acknowledge the enslaved Africans whose labor built our nation during the colonial era and beyond. We acknowledge the harm inflicted upon the Indigenous communities and people of color across the country, which influences my ongoing work.

Because we offer telehealth services, we also acknowledge the structures in which our technology is mediated, including somewhere around 75 million servers and half a million miles of undersea cable that sit on unceded, Indigenous land and diverse ecosystems.

Our office, like the rest of the United States, is on stolen land. It is our responsibility to continue the active work of social justice. This acknowledgement is also a commitment to ongoing learning, activism, and amplification of the voices of Native peoples.

Anti-Racism Commitment

We appreciate and value diverse voices and believe in the importance of de-centering white narratives and culture while elevating the experiences and wisdom of people of color. We consider the pain and distress of all clients in the context of historical forces, social structures, cultural dynamics, and an ongoing system of oppression.

We are dedicated to dismantling systems that uphold hetero-patriarchal, ableist, capitalist and white supremacist beliefs, which deny access to true health and wellbeing for so many.

Our anti-racist and anti-oppressive work is continuous and we are continuously striving to learn more, act more, and create more radical structures to support our clients and our community.
